As a key member of the deck department, you will be responsible for overseeing cargo handling, vessel stability, navigational safety, and compliance with international maritime regulations. You will work closely with the Captain and the crew to ensure the vessel’s optimal performance during worldwide voyages, maintaining high standards of safety and operational excellence.
- Experience as a Chief Officer on container vessels, particularly with PostPanamax ships
- Proven track record of handling large container ships of around 9000 TEU capacity
- Good knowledge of international maritime safety, navigation, and cargo handling procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse deck team effectively
- Flexibility to work on worldwide routes and adapt to different operational environments
- Relevant certifications including STCW, with current seafarer medical certification
