The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of the engine room equipment on a Panamax container vessel, specifically with a capacity of 5000 TEUs. This role requires a dedicated professional who can ensure the smooth running of onboard machinery, adhere to safety standards, and support the engineering team in daily operations. The 3rd Engineer will work closely with senior engineers and the deck crew to maintain vessel performance and safety onboard.
- Valid certification as a Third Engineer
- Experience working on Panamax container vessels, preferably 5000 TEUS
- Proven track record of maintaining and repairing main engines, auxiliary machinery, and onboard systems
- Good understanding of safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Previous contract experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and adaptability to onboard routines
